EPISODE 18: International Fashion Festival 2011



The International Fashion Festival 2011 recently took place in Toronto at the International Centre from the 25th-26th of November. ANOKHI being the proud North American publication sponsor was there to catch all the highlights of the successful festival. It comprised of a three day event which was attended by the glamorous socialites and VIP's of Toronto. ANOKHI Pulse TV was there to capture the full three day hype and exciting venture. These events are always such a highlight for ANOKHI because they are an opportunity for South Asians to showcase their talents and fashion creations to the main stream community.

The first day of the International Fashion Festival 2011 began at the International Center with tasteful ethnic exhibits from furniture to clothes by local and International vendors such as Kalamkar, Dinesh Ramsay. Pakistani designer Mehdi opened the fashion show with his bridal collection while HSY was the grand finale on the first day showcasing his couture and bridal collection.

The second day brought in exciting performances by Josh and Raghav. However the highlight of the evening was the grand finale by Vikram Phadnis where he enchanted the crowd with his Royal Darbar collection.

International Fashion Festival will be back in July 2012 with a line-up of designers not just from South Asia but Middle East as well. ANOKHI will definitely be there to give its members an insight into this fabulous event.
